I joined KTL on October 31, 2023.​

What are your roles and responsibilities?

I am the SHEQ Manager for KTL Power. My responsibilities include overseeing the company’s Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality management systems.

What do you enjoy most about working at KTL?

I enjoy the open and honest communication between management and staff. The friendliness of the staff and the relaxed but professional approach to our work make for a great working environment. I particularly appreciate KTL’s commitment to safety and their approach of prioritising safety across the business.

What makes KTL different, and sets it apart from other companies you’ve worked for?

KTL’s commitment to its staff is truly exceptional. The recognition that their employees are what makes the company successful today is something I haven’t experienced elsewhere. Their commitment to safety is also what sets KTL apart from other companies I’ve worked for.

How do you like to enjoy your time outside of work? I’ve heard you’ve some great hobbies, could you tell us about them?

I’m a keen golfer and try to play as often as possible. I enjoy watching rugby and football, although my playing days ended some years ago. I never miss any of my son’s football games, both home and away. Gardening is another passion of mine, and I enjoy working on different projects (my wife would say it would be nice to finish one of them!). Cooking is something I love, especially barbecuing for friends and family. I’m also a bit of a history sponge and if I’m watching TV, it’s usually documentaries, which I find fascinating even if others might not.
