What is your current role and core responsibilities?
My current role is that of HR Manager for KTL. I am based in Ireland, but look after HR for the UK also. Pre Covid, I travelled to the UK every month to work in the Manchester office which I really enjoyed. I look after all aspects of HR for the company including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, dealing with staff queries, employee engagement, organising staff parties (pre covid!), ensuring policies and procedures are kept up to date, compliance and anything else that comes my way!
Could you share some achievements that you are proud of?
Over the last 8 years, the company has introduced a lot of additional staff benefits which I am really proud of. Benefits such as additional leave per length of service, top ups for family leave, the employee assistance program and the digital gym to name just a few.
What do you enjoy most about your role and the work you do?
What I enjoy most about my role is working with the team in KTL. Without exception, they are a lovely bunch of people and I enjoy working with them on a daily basis.
Outside of work, what are your hobbies and interests?
When I am not working, I enjoy walks in the countryside while listening to a good podcast. Living in Sligo, I am spoilt for choice with such beautiful scenery. Socialising with friends has been done remotely over the last year, but I am looking forward to meeting in person once restrictions are lifted further.
