KTL were responsible for the project supervisor construction stage (PSCS) of the passive works on this site. The work involved installing a new 30-meter tower to facilitate an upgrade of equipment to allow for future expansion and connectivity in the local region.
Jason Mc Grath, KTL Project Manager said, “There was only one available location to install the new foundation, and this involved excavating and rock breaking around existing power supply and fibre cable ducting, the integrity of which had to be always maintained. All services were supported and cast into the new foundation. Safe access to the existing equipment on site had to be always maintained during the build. The project had some challenges, but it was completed without a hitch.”
Dermot Hennessy, ESB Telecoms said, “Thanks Jason and team, this was a well-managed tower build from start to finish, built to a high standard, on time and on budget.”
