#KTL boosts network capacity and coverage at #RoyalAscot for its expected 60,000 racegoers. Royal Ascot starts today, Tuesday 14th and will feature an all-star cast, world-class racing, and splendid style. 60,000 racegoers are expected across five days of racing and will require mobile coverage to call, locate each other in large crowds, and be able to share special moments instantly with family and friends. KTL installed an E-Band 80 GHz high-capacity microwave link to support uninterrupted coverage for racegoers and boost network capacity for the Royal Meeting. Shane Kiernan, Project Manager KTL said, “The KTL Tx teams’ role involved pre-configuration of equipment, procurement of consumables, back-office management, program installation, installation on-site, and link management done via a technical specialist – Tx Ops.” “KTL is installing E-Band technology across nine high-profile special events in the UK this year for our client.
