Jul 12, 2022.As of January 29, 2022, there is new advice and rules to follow regarding Britain’s Highway Code that gives cyclists priority over drivers.The new rules mean cars will be required to leave at least 1.5 metres of distance when overtaking cyclists.Cyclists are now instructed to ride in the centre of the lane during slow-moving traffic and only move to the left to allow a faster vehicle to overtake if it is safe to do so.The new rule also says “it can be safer” for cyclists to ride two abreast.Read more
